Latest News

From Darley Dale Twinning Association  –  Onzain will visit Darley Dale  on Thursday 2nd May to Sunday 5th May 2024 and this will be a celebration of the 35th anniversary of the twinning link between Darley Dale and Onzain which was established by Darley Dale Town Council in 1989.

The main group coming from Onzain will be La Valcissienne, the French country dancers, along with other friends and family. The Onzain band, La Rennaisance, will not be coming to Darley Dale on this occassion.

There will be various events over the weekend involving La Valcissienne, Winster Morris Dancers and Darley Dale Brass Band, details are currently being worked out.

For more information, when available, see our Events page.

Darley Dale Band currently has an almost full team of players but would like to recruit cornet and trombone players and welcomes enquiries about membership. We have a number of instruments available for loan. At the moment we do not provide training for beginners (although we have had a training band and could do so again) so Grade 5 level on paper or the equivalent in experience is desirable.  If you would like to join the Band (or at least give us a try) you can use the “Contact Us” tab or contact our band manager Steve Thompson direct on 07876 190132 or [email protected]

Then come to South Darley Village Hall at 7.15 on a Monday evening. The hall is at Cross Green on the B5057 road from Darley Bridge to Wensley, opposite St Mary’s Church.  The post code is DE4 2JT.  You will be very welcome.
