From Darley Dale Twinning Association – Onzain will visit Darley Dale on Thursday 2nd May to Sunday 5th May 2024 and this will be a celebration of the 35th anniversary of the twinning link between Darley Dale and Onzain which was established by Darley Dale Town Council in 1989.
The main group coming from Onzain will be La Valcissienne, the French country dancers, along with other friends and family. The Onzain band, La Rennaisance, will not be coming to Darley Dale on this occassion.
There will be various events over the weekend involving La Valcissienne, Winster Morris Dancers and Darley Dale Brass Band, details are currently being worked out.

The band is currently building a repertoire for its 2024 season and concerts and other events will be advertised in due course.

Saturday 29th April Darley Dale Twinning Association Open Day at the Whitworth Centre from 2pm – small band.
Monday 8th May from 1pm Coronation Bank Holiday at Whitworth Park
Sunday 4th June at 7 pm: Concert at Barringtons, Darley Dale
Saturday 10th June: Kirk Ireton Carnival from 12 noon
Saturday 29th July: a programme for residents and friends at Underhall Respite and Resource Centre
Sunday 5th November: 10 am onwards Brass Band Entertainment Contest at The Whitworth Centre, Darley Dale
Sunday 12th November: 3 pm Remembrance Sunday March and Service at Whitworth Park, Darley Dale
Saturday 25th November: afternoon – Christmas Lights Switch-On at Alfreton
Sunday 3rd December at 5.45 pm: Winster Christmas Lights Switch On – but called off because of floods
Saturday 16th December at 7.30 pm: Christmas concert with Holymoorside Choral Society at St John’s Church, Walton
Sunday 17th December at 7.30pm: Christmas Concert at the Edgefold Club, Matlock
